Hold it...Put Down the Scissors

Quick stop me before I do something drastic.
I’m thinking about chopping my hair…again. Before I go all nuts-o and grab the nearest pair of scissors I want your honest opinions. I have an oval shaped face and according to most things I’ve read and heard this shape works well with practically any length.
In the past I’ve been one to see a cut, immediately fall in love and call Tovi (my lovely friend and hair stylist) the very next day to make an appointment. Thankfully she has known me for a while and when I tell her what I want she talks me through it before she will even begin. I love her for that. Some stylists just say whatevs and go for it. I’ve been to these stylists before and hated the outcome, but what can you really do? I mean your hair is already cut; the only thing left to do is go shorter or grow it out. This has not been the case with Tovi. I haven’t ever come away from the salon upset with what she’s done to my hair.
Before I show you what you might need to stop me from doing I’ll give you an example of my compulsive behavior. Hopefully this will help you restrain me if this is a terrible idea.
Earlier this year I watched the Miss America reality show and fell in love with one of the contestant’s makeovers which involved bangs and I had to have bangs. That wasn’t a major deal because it wasn’t a bad choice, but nonetheless I did it practically with out thinking about it first.
A couple of months ago I started to get tired of my long hair and wanted something different. I went to Tovi pleading for a change, so she put in some layers and I kept the bangs. Still not bad.
I then decided I needed something really different, so I had her give me an A-line that was pretty dramatic. It was pretty awesome and I was really happy with it. I hadn’t had shorter hair for a while, so it took some getting used to, but it was great.
Last week I went in and asked for it to be shortened a little more, but I wanted to keep the overall A-line look. It’s not bad. I think I liked the dramatic look better, but what’s been done has been done and now I can only move forward. I can either let it grow…or cut it shorter.
This is where I may need a straight jacket and all sharp objects hidden from my sight for a while. I’m contemplating going shorter. Much shorter. Possibly pixie shorter. Are you still with me? Please don’t scratch your eyes out when you see what I’ve been liking lately. Give me your honest opinion and I promise I won’t call Tovi today to make an appointment. I’ll wait at least a couple of weeks to let this one settle in because it’s so different.
Do you love any of these? Hate them all? Let me know what you think. I appreciate the feedback/ constructive criticism.
Here are the pictures of my most recent hair style. What do you think? Leave it? Cut it? Shave it?

I think short, pixie styles can be super cute! I really love Rihanna's lately. As long as you're prepared for some regular trims, I say go for it!
I wanna see your new haircut before I make any decisions! Lemmeee seee!
oh that would be cute. i'm a fan of the pixie cut on anyone but myself, haha.
gah I love the pixie cuts!! I want to get one but Jon has made me promise not ot
I want to see your current hair.
As far as the haircut - I say go for it. It's just hair. It will grow back.
My motto is that it's hair and it will grow back if you hate it. I say go for it!
I like the second one Alicia Whatsherface.
I would never do that, but I have a roundish face shape and that would just not be cute. if you can pull it off, go for it! I like the second one best too
So cute!
Wait did are these the after picutres? Cause your hair looks cute! Man I am a dork
I like the blonde hair cut. Not the color, but I think that would look super cute on you!!!! I'm super compulsive too. My poor mother.....
My motto, "it will grow back, if I don't like it". I have been considering the pixie cute as well... however it wouldn't be as drastic as a change as it is for you. My hair is already short. Good luck deciding!
I think your new haircut is super cute and chic! Dang, I need to stop wearing my hair in a ponytail 24/7. I say, if you've never had short hair and you really wanna, than go for it! Like everyone says - it grows back if you don't like it!
What would the world be like without us impulsive do-ers? Haha ... I have had the pixie cut before and loved it. It's super easy, super manageable, a super shampoo saver, and you can go to bed and wake up without having to touch your hair. My problem, is when I have short hair, I miss my long hair, and when I have long hair, I miss my short hair. I just can't ever be happy! Good luck and you'll make the right decision!
It's cute right now :) But because I'm a mean friend I'm gonna say SHAVE IT! lol just kidding. I love the shorter hair cuts you like but I would be too scared to go that short. You're much braver than I am.
Hey any pics of after you had it cut? Im thinking of having the elisha cuthbert cut next weeek!! may need a helping hadn along the way!
@leanne I didn't actually end up cutting my hair. I decided I want to grow it out and donate it instead. Maybe when I donate it I will get the Elisha cut, but for now no short hair for me. Sorry I couldn't be of any help to you.
go for it im'e haveing my hair cut next week . ime having a long pixi hair cut with spikes up the back and a few on the top and cut round the ears but i don't want the dead short pixi . like i said go for it you have the right shape face you only live once sometimes you have to take a chance in life and say if you didn't like it well it's only hair it grows.
